Plot / Synopsis :
One week before her sex reassignment surgery, Sabrina 'Bree' Osbourne (Felicity Huffman) receives a phone call from Toby Wilkins (Kevin Zegers), a bisexual 17-year-old jailed in New York City. He asks for Stanley Schupak (Bree's former name), claiming to be his son.

Bree was previously unaware she had a son; she now wants to break with his past and renounce him. However, Bree's therapist (Elizabeth Peña) refuses permission for her operation if she does not face up to her past.

Bree flies from Los Angeles to New York to bail Toby out of jail. Toby is a small-time drug user and male hustler. His mother committed suicide, after which he was raised by his stepfather, whom he does not want to see again.

Bree pretends to be a Christian missionary and persuades Toby to ride with her back to the West Coast, secretly planning to leave him at his stepfather's along the way. When they arrive in Kentucky it turns out that Toby's stepfather molested him as a child, and so this plan fails. Toby and Bree continue to Los Angeles together. They also stop by a house where a group of transsexuals are hosting a gender pride gathering. During the trip, Toby accidentally discovers that Bree is transsexual. He is open-minded about it, but is angry that Bree had not told him.

After their car and money are stolen by a "peyote shaman" hitchhiker, Toby makes some money by prostituting himself to a truck driver. To Bree he pretends that he got the money from selling some drugs he had taken along for his own use. They get a ride with a kindly rancher Calvin Many Goats (Graham Greene) to Bree's parents' house in Phoenix, Arizona. Here they find her conservative and self-centred mother Elizabeth (Fionnula Flanagan), her Jewish father Murray (Burt Young), and her rebellious and sarcastic sister Sydney (Carrie Preston). Elizabeth disapproves of Bree's transsexuality, but is excited about finding out she has a grandson. She is kind to Toby, and invites him to stay and live with them. Toby likes the luxury and kindness, but hesitates. Toby, realizing he has some type of feelings for Bree, proposes to have sex with her, saying that he will marry her if she wants to. Bree realizes she must tell Toby the truth, that she was his real father. She does so and Toby is angry that Bree had not disclosed this earlier. Toby leaves and travels on alone. Bree also returns to L.A., but first reconciles with her family.

Back in Los Angeles, Bree has her surgery, but breaks down into tears in the recovery room. Toby, who bleached his hair and also went to L.A., becomes an actor in gay pornography films.

Plot / Synopsis :
In the new teen thriller Cry_Wolf, eight unsuspecting high school seniors playing a game of lies come face-to-face with terror and learn that nobody believes a liar…even when they’re telling the truth.

After one too many incidents of bad behavior at his last school, Owen Matthews (Julian Morris) arrives at Westlake Prep – where a young woman has recently been found murdered in the dark woods near the boarding school’s campus. Owen quickly falls in with the school’s unofficial “liars’ club,” including the beautiful and savvy Dodger (Lindy Booth of Dawn of the Dead and Wrong Turn) and quick-talking, short-tempered Tom (Jared Padalecki of the new TV series Supernatural). At Owen’s suggestion, his new friends decide to expand their game’s reach beyond campus, by spreading an online rumor that a serial killer called “The Wolf” committed the recent murder and is planning to strike again.

The mischievous group’s descriptions of “The Wolf’s” intended victims are based on the people they know best – each other. Only when the school’s journalism teacher, Rich Walker (Jon Bon Jovi), warns the group about the kinds of predators that lurk on the internet does Owen begin to regret sending their falsified story into cyberspace. When the described “victims” suddenly start to disappear, Owen, Dodger and Tom are no longer able to determine where the lies end and the truth begins. As someone – or something – starts hunting the players themselves, the game turns terrifyingly real.

Plot / Synopsis :
The Great Raid is based on actual events and is adapted from William B. Breuer's book of the same name.

In the winter of 1944, World War II was coming to a close. The Japanese held some of the American prisoners who had survived the Bataan Death March in a notorious prisoner-of-war camp at Cabanatuan and subjected them to harsh treatment; many prisoners were also stricken with malaria. At the time of the raid the camp held about five hundred prisoners.

The film opens with the massacre of prisoners of war on Palawan by the Kempeitai, the Imperial Japanese military's secret police.

Meanwhile at Lingayen Gulf, the 6th Ranger Battalion under Lt. Col Mucci is ordered by Lt. Gen. Walter Krueger to liberate all of the POWs at Cabanatuan prison camp before they are killed by the Japanese. The film chronicles the efforts and heroism of the Rangers, Alamo Scouts from the 6th Army and Filipino guerrillas as they undertake the raid at Cabanatuan.

Throughout the film the viewpoint switches between the POWs at Cabanatuan, the Rangers, the Filipino resistance and the Japanese.

In particular, the film covers the resistance work undertaken by American-born but Canadian-raised nurse Margaret Utinsky who smuggled medicine into the POW camps. Suspected of helping prisoners, the Kempeitai arrested her and sent her to Fort Santiago prison. Eventually she was released. Utinsky spent six weeks recovering from gangrene as a result of injuries sustained from beatings. Once recovered, she escaped to Bataan where she served as a nurse with the Philippine Commonwealth troops and recognized guerrilla forces until liberation in February 1945.

The (mostly) true story of a Hollywood princess turned bounty hunter is told in this witty action-drama from director Tony Scott. Domino Harvey (Keira Knightley) was the daughter of famed actor Laurence Harvey (played

by Jesse Pate) who passed on when Domino was only eight years old. Domino's mother, former fashion model Paulene Stone (played by Jacqueline Bisset and renamed (%Sophie Wynn) in the film), strove to give her daughter a comfortable life, but Domino was naturally rebellious, and after a contentious stint in boarding school, a brief career as a runway model, and a fling with the fashion business, Domino was looking for something more exciting. She found it when he met Ed Mosbey (Mickey Rourke), an ex-con who had gone on to a successful career as a "bail recovery agent" -- in short, a bounty hunter. Ed also taught others how to join his profession, and Domino took his course and joined his team, along with Choco (Edgar Ramirez), a headstrong bail agent who took an immediate fancy to Domino. Domino, Ed, and Choco became a successful team -- successful enough that television producer Mark Heiss (Christopher Walken) asked them to become the subject of a television reality series. However, it was after the cameras were turned on Domino that her life got truly crazy. Bail bondsman Claremont Williams III (Delroy Lindo) had hired Domino and her friends for a risky case, and soon Domino, Ed, and Choco were chasing missing men and money while landing in hot water with both the FBI and the Mafia. Domino was loosely based on Domino Harvey's real life story; sadly her personal life was as reckless as her career, and Domino died as a result of drug abuse on June 27, 2005, after this film was completed. The film also features Lucy Liu, Mena Suvari, Macy Gray, and Dabney Coleman.

Claire Danes) is an aspiring artist in her mid-twenties who, after graduating from college, moved to Los Angeles, where she works at the glove counter of an upscale department store. Mirabelle's job is simple and not demanding, but it doesn't pay especially well, and she finds herself struggling to get out from under a growing mountain of debt from student loans and credit cards. One night, while doing her laundry, Mirabelle meets Jeremy (Jason Schwartzman), a scruffy but likable would-be musician who makes ends meet selling guitar amps. While Jeremy is obviously infatuated with Mirabelle, she isn't sure how she feels about him, especially after she meets Ray Porter (Steve Martin), a man in his fifties whom she meets at the store. Ray is independently wealthy, intelligent, and charming, and after asking her out on a date he sweeps her off her feet. However, while Mirabelle quickly falls for Ray and he's generous to a fault with her, he refuses to commit exclusively to her and suggests they should both see other people, a prospect that no longer holds much appeal for her. Shopgirl received its world premiere at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival.

the groundbreaking Windmill Theater. The year is 1937 and, despite having recently lost her husband, 69-year-old Laura Henderson (Judy Dench) remains as ambitious and vital as ever. Aghast at her friend Lady Conway's (Thelma Barlow) suggestion that she take up a mundane hobby such as diamond collecting to pass the time, Mrs. Henderson instead shocks her well-to-do social circle by purchasing the ramshackle Windmill Theater in the heart of downtown Soho. Unafraid to take a risk in the venture, yet lacking the experience needed to run the theater, Mrs. Henderson brings in showbiz veteran Vivian Van Damm (Bob Hoskins) to line up an opening act that will set the stage ablaze. When the ever-curious Mrs. Henderson's intrusive spying begins to impede on Mr. Van Damm's creative progress, the frustrated theater manager has her banished from rehearsals. Though Van Damm's innovative idea to stage an unending stream of entertainment dubbed "Revudeville" proves a wild and profitable success, the Windmill begins to suffer when other local theaters quickly follow suit. Now faced with the prospect of seeing her once-lucrative endeavor fall by the wayside due to the unoriginality of the copycats who surround her, Mrs. Henderson decides to show audiences something they've never seen before by making the Windmill the first theater to feature nude female entertainers live on-stage

Plot / Synopsis :
The true story of the kids who created modern skateboard culture is recreated in this drama. In the early '70s, skateboards were seen as a fad of the 1960s that had all but died out, but in a rough-and-tumble Venice, CA, community known as "Dogtown," that was about to change. Tony Alva (

Victor Rasuk), Stacy Peralta (John Robinson), and Jay Adams (Emile Hirsch) were three guys who liked to surf the rugged beaches around Venice and hung out at the Zephyr Surf Shop, a store run by Skip Engblom (Heath Ledger) that stocked gear for adventurous surfers and skateboarders. With the advent of new urethane wheels that connected with concrete in a way old metal and rubber wheels could not, Tony, Stacy, and Jay began exploring ways to translate radical surf style to skateboarding, and the guys invented a new way to skate inside the smooth, round surfaces of empty pools, employing vertical moves and edge flips that added a new and dramatic spin to skating. It didn't take long for word to spread about the wild new style of the Z-Boys, and they quickly became local celebrities, and later nationwide skating stars, though sudden fame took its toll on these young men. The true story of Lords of Dogtown was previously the basis of the acclaimed documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys, directed by former Z-Boy Stacy Peralta, who like Tony Alva served as a consultant on this project.

Giovanni Bruni (Charlie Cox) is a young man who is very much in love with Victoria, and in order to move him out of the picture, Casanova challenges him to a duel. However, when Casanova is bested in swords in the challenge, he discovers he's actually been parrying with Giovanni's sister, Francesca (Sienna Miller). As Casanova gets to know Francesca, he discovers she's a gifted writer and a bright and independent woman as well as a good hand with a sword, and he comes to the realization that she's the woman he wants to take to the altar. However, Francesca has already been promised to the vain and chubby Papprizzio (Oliver Platt), a man she's never met, and she doesn't seem at all interested in the notorious Casanova. Casanova also stars Lena Olin, and Omid Djalili.

Plot / Synopsis :
David Spritz is a successful weatherman at an Chicago news program. His job pays well, but he finds it unsatisfactory that it doesn't require much except to speak and point, and the weather forecasts he reads are often inaccurate. While he's a local celebrity, his fans are not kind to him; once every few months, people throw fast food at him. He also remarks that people don't like him because he has low self-esteem and people who do like him like him because he's on TV.

He is separated from his wife, Noreen, with the possibility of either reconciliation or divorce. He and her new lover, Russ have an openly antagonistic relationship.

Dave feels inferior to his father, Robert Spritzel, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author. He suffers from lymphoma and has only a short time to live; he deals with that in a quiet, dignified manner. Robert is concerned with Dave's apparent inability to grow up, while Dave is anxious to redeem himself in his father's eyes.

Dave has recently applied for a position as the weatherman on a national show called "Hello America", hosted by Bryant Gumbel, and represents a much more lucrative salary than the lucrative salary Dave has, but also would mean a relocation for himself and possibly his whole family, (provided he can reconcile with Noreen). Dave sees this job as a opportunity and a final chance to prove himself to his father and make him proud, before he passes away.

Dave's 12-year-old daughter, Shelly is a smoker and is obese and bullied by her classmates, calling her "cameltoe", because her genitals show through her tight clothing. While picking up Shelly from her ballet lessons, Spritz flashes back to a time, where he bought her expensive archery lessons, which his daughter quickly lost interest in. Dave also has a 15-year-old son Mike, who has had some trouble with the law concerning drug use. He is creepily befriended by his counselor, Don, who is very generous. However, it is suggested that Don has a sexual interest in Mike.

Dave attempts to reconnect with Noreen by going to a group therapy session for couples, performing tasks like catching the other when they fall backwards and the like in order to build trust. Dave ruins the entire ordeal, however, when a task comes up in which each person is told to write something about their partner that they always hated on a piece of note paper, give the note to their partner, and then never read the note they've received in order to show trust to one another. Dave sneaks into the bathroom during a break and reads Noreen's note about him, then later confronts her about it, infuriating her and initiating a very bad argument.

As he becomes more and more unnerved, Dave decides to use up the remaining archery lessons he purchased for his daughter by himself, finding it gives him peace and quiet and also an activity which builds his focus.

When "Hello America" invites Dave to interview with them in New York, he decides to bring along Shelly since he has not yet had a chance to talk with her about her classmates calling her "cameltoe." Also coming along is his father, seeking a second opinion on his lymphoma from a doctor in New York. While trying to talk to Shelley about the name-calling, Shelly reveals that she thinks her nickname is because of her strength, which a visibly moved Dave feigns agreement. He decides to remedy the problem by buying her a bunch of new clothing (mostly dresses). It is later revealed over the phone to Dave, however, that back in Chicago, Mike has punched Don in the face; Robert claims that Don wanted to perform oral sex on Mike, while Don claims that Mike wanted to steal his wallet. Compounding everything, Dave's father, Robert, tells him that the second opinion he sought turned out no different, and that he has only months to live. Sad and depressed, Dave stays up all night drinking, and appears in no shape to perform well on his "Hello America" interview the next morning. Surprisingly enough, however, he performs just fine and manages to really impress his interviewers.

When Dave returns to Chicago, he finds that because he was in New York City interviewing with "Hello America" and unable to help with Mike's problem, Russ has stepped in in his absence. Although Dave is interested in Mike's well-being, he slaps Russ, while talking, in his face with his gloves. Moments later, Dave beats Don up in a rage to try and rectify the situation. Mike is relieved to find out from his father that Don won't press charges, particularly after Dave's violent confrontation.

Meanwhile, Dave is offered a place on "Hello America", which requires him a move to New York. He hesitates, since he would be far away from Noreen and their children, unless the family is reunited, and they can also move to New York.

The family decides to hold a living funeral for Robert to give friends and family members a chance to say the things about him they'd like to while he is still around to hear it. Dave tells Noreen that he has been offered the job on "Hello America" and asks her for a final time if she will reconcile with him, only to find out she has decided to marry Russ. On top of all this, due to a power failure, Dave is forced to abort his speech to his father after only saying: "When I think of my dad, I think of Bob Seger's "Like a Rock," robbing him of what he perceived to be his last chance to say something that would make his father proud and happy.

Later, however, Robert flags Dave down in his car, plays the Bob Seger song he'd mentioned earlier, and asks Dave to explain his remark. Dave explains that he feels Robert has always been strong and stands "proud and tall, high above it all", as in the song. As the pressure has really gotten to Dave at this point, he breaks down in tears telling his father that he was offered the "Hello America" job, but that his wife will be marrying Russ. Robert consoles Dave, by telling him that not everything in life goes as we'd like, and that he really is proud of his son, especially for being able to land the "Hello America" position and also for Dave's defense of his son.

Soon afterwards, Dave accepts the job. Dave and his family later attend Robert's funeral, after it was revealed that he died. Mike reveals to his father his new career goal of being a cameraman for the NFL, which Dave is proud of. Dave's former resentment for his fans, a reflection of his own low self-esteem, has gone away now that he has gained his father's approval and learned to accept and be happy with his life. He does the weather during the weekdays, and goes back to Chicago on the weekends to visit Mike and Shelly. People do not throw things at him anymore, though he muses that this may be a pleasant side-effect of his archery hobby, for which he carries a bow around.

The film ends with a parade, in which Dave rides on a float with Gumbel and other morning show cast members. He notes how he's behind the NYC firemen, but ahead of SpongeBob SquarePants. He is satisfied with this and his "American accomplishment." The film ends with a close-up of Dave waving as he says, through narration, "Hello America."

Plot / Synopsis :
The film begins with a young Native American woman offering a prayer to the Earth Mother. While never referred to by name, she is understood to be Pocahontas. The woman and others from her tribe witness the arrival of three ships. It is Virginia, the year 1607, and the ships are part of the Jamestown Expedition, sent by English royal charter to found a colony in the “New World.” Aboard one of the ships we see a man, later identified as Captain John Smith, below decks, in chains. While initially sentenced to death by hanging for his mutinous remarks, once ashore, Smith is pardoned by Captain Christopher Newport, the leader of the expedition.

While the prospects for the settlement are initially bright, disease, poor discipline, supply shortages, and tensions with the local Native Americans (who Newport calls "the naturals") place the expedition in jeopardy. Smith is given the opportunity to restore his reputation by taking a small group of men up river to seek trade while Newport returns to England for supplies. While on this mission, Smith is captured by a group of Native Americans and brought before their chief. After being questioned, the captain is nearly executed but is spared when one of the chief’s daughters (the same young woman from the beginning of the film) throws herself across his body, saving his life.

Living among the Native Americans as a prisoner for an extended period, Smith is treated well, earning the friendship and respect of the tribe. Coming to admire this new way of life, he falls deeply in love with Pocahontas, who is greatly intrigued by the Englishman and his ways. Slowly Smith begins to question the validity of his earlier life. The chief, however, eventually returns Smith to Jamestown with the understanding that the English are to leave the following spring once their boats have returned.

Upon his return Smith encounters a settlement in turmoil. Pressed into accepting the governorship he finds the peace and happiness he had experienced in the wilderness replaced by privation, death, and the difficult responsibilities that come with his new position. Smith wishes to return to his love but dismisses such action, labeling his time among the Native Americans as “a dream” that he has now awoken from. As their numbers dwindle throughout the brutal winter the settlers are only saved when Pocahontas and a rescue party arrives with food, clothing, and supplies.

As spring arrives it becomes clear to Chief Powhatan that the English did not intend to leave. Discovering his daughter’s actions, he orders an attack on Jamestown and exiles Pocahontas. Repulsing the attack, the settlers learn of Pocahontas’ banishment and organize a trade so that the young woman can be taken captive and used as leverage to avoid further assaults. Smith strongly opposes the plan and as a result is removed as Governor and despoiled by the new leadership.

With Pocahontas now living in Jamestown she and Smith renew their love affair. However, with the return of Captain Newport, complications arise. Newport informs Smith that the king has offered him the opportunity to lead a new expedition of his own which will seek an elusive new passage to the West Indies. Torn between his love and the promise of his career, the captain eventually makes the difficult decision to return to England. Before he departs, however, he leaves instructions with a trusted settler who later informs Pocahontas that Smith has died in the crossing.

Devastated, Pocahontas sinks into a deep depression. Continuing to live in Jamestown, she is eventually comforted by a new settler, John Rolfe, who helps her better adapt to the English way of life. She is subsequently baptized, receives education, and eventually marries Rolfe and gives birth to a son. While she is happy with her new life she soon learns that Captain Smith is still alive. Realizing that she is still in love with him, her relationship with her husband is complicated.

Ultimately, Rolfe and his family are given an opportunity to travel to England. Arriving in London and sharing an audience with the king and queen, Pocahontas is overwhelmed by the wonders of this “New World.” While there a private meeting is arranged between Pocahontas and Smith. Rolfe supports the meeting believing that his wife still loves Smith and that she will not be at peace until she sees him again.

The reunion is uncomfortable at times as the love the two shared years before reminds them of the happiness they once felt while the state of their present lives exposes how much they each have changed. Smith admits that he may have made a mistake in choosing his career over his love for Pocahontas, stating that what they experienced in the wilderness was not a dream but instead “the only truth.” The two depart, never to meet again.

Embracing her husband, Pocahontas and Rolfe make arrangements to return to Virginia. However, on the outward passage, she falls ill and suddenly dies. The film ends with images of Pocahontas and her young son playing in the gardens of their English estate as Rolfe, in a voiceover, reads a letter, addressed to their son about his deceased mother. In the film's closing moments, Pocahontas says "Mother, now I know where you live", having found peace through her strength to grow past her wounds, the film ends with images of nature.

Plot / Synopsis :
The Cave is a 2005 sci-fi/horror film, directed by Bruce Hunt. It stars Cole Hauser, Eddie Cibrian, Morris Chestnut, Lena Headey, Rick Ravanello, Piper Perabo and Daniel Dae Kim.
The film begins deep in the Carpathian mountains of Romania during the Cold War, where a group of Russian explorers are searching for an abandoned 13th century abbey. As they venture inside and below the church, they make a startling discovery: the abbey is built over the entrance to a giant subterranean cave system. When they try to blast their way in, they cause a landslide that buries the abbey and the men are trapped in the cave below it. Then they hear strange pinging sounds coming from the darkness. They are never seen again. 30 years later, a team of archeologists are conducting an excavation of the ruins of the same abbey and discover the cave system. These scientists are Dr. Nicolai and his associate Katheryn Jannings. Local biologists believe the cave could contain an undiscovered ecosystem, so they hire a group of American spelunkers lead by Jack McAllister and his brother Tyler to help them investigate its unknown depths. Jack and Tyler are thrill-seeking professional cave explorers who run a world famous team of divers. They arrive in Romania with the latest equipment, including a modified rebreather system allowing a diver to remain submerged for up to 24 hours. The diving team, which includes rock-climbing professional Charlie, first scout Briggs, sonar expert Strode, survival expert Top Buchanan, and cameraman Alex Kim. As they begin the expedition, they send Briggs to find the first advanced base camp, much to Tyler's displeasure as he is the best scout, but Jack thinks otherwise. When they lose contact with Briggs, they all dive in to find him. When Strode wanders off, he is suddenly attacked by an unknown creature, when he is dragged away, his water scooter explodes and causes a cave-in. Jack resolves that they must find another way out, Katheryn and Nicolai begin examining the bizarre biology in this cave, which they discover a strange parasite in all of the lifeforms they find. When Jack gets stuck in a shaft, he is suddenly attacked by the same kind of creature that killed Strode, but Jack manages to break free from its claws, but he is slightly injured. All known cave creatures today are variations of outer-world creatures that have simply adapted for cave life over generations, but Katheryn believes this new parasite to be life that originated in the cave environment and never been exposed to the outside world. As the team heads deeper into the cave, they occasionally stumble across scattered equipment and remains of the previous explorers, and are unaware they are being stalked by the creatures. The team begins to question Jack's leadership as he leads them into unknown passages without second thought, and becomes more unstable since he was attacked, but Tyler assures the team to trust him. Jack also begins to exhibit a transformation of his senses, and physical features. When he leads them to a rapids that flow to a underground lake, the creatures attack again, Katheryn is unharmed but Dr. Nicolai is dragged away; but as Jack tries in vain to free him, he sees the creatures are demon-like humanoids, and notices a recognizable tattoo on one of them. The team then reaches a vast delta in the underground river with large walls. As the team and Jack argue about where to go next, Charlie climbs the wall to an opening for a possible exit. But when she reaches the opening, she is jumped by one of the creatures, she manages to kill it with improvised weapons but she is gutted by the creature and dies, when Jack tries to save her, he has another transformation that slowed him down. As the team mourn over Charlie's death, they see Jack's transformations are beginning to show. Katheryn then concludes that his transformations are from the parasite they discovered, for it has entered his body through his wounds from his attack and is affecting his nervous system. Remembering the remains of the previous explorers and the tattooed creature, we realize that the creatures are the previous explorers. They were transformed as the result of the symbiotic parasite that infects its human host and begins to mutate it into these mutant-humanoid demons, built for surviving in cave environment. They have wings, amphibian skin, echolocation hearing (which are the strange sounds of them navigating), sharp teeth, and long claws. They are no longer human and now they hunt down and slaughter anything and anyone that enters their new home. They realize Jack is slowly evolving into one of them, the team splits up, shattering their trust in Jack, but Tyler and Top stay with him. Jack leads Tyler and Top down an ice cave, Top falls and breaks his leg but they manage to find a way through the ice; and they find a hellish cavern littered with skeletons. They realize this is an ancient battleground between the creatures and the Knights Templar where the knights clearly lost, the ones who built the church at the entrance to seal the cave to prevent future generations from entering and keeping the demons from getting out of the cave environment. When Jack finds the cave's exit, he has another transformation, at this point he is now barely human and in no condition to find the rest of the team. As Tyler heads back to find the others, the creatures enter the cavern and steal their diving equipment necessary to get through the exit. Tyler finds Briggs hanging from the celing of a section of the cavern, suspended by stalactites and barely alive, Briggs points his pupils in the direction the creature went; Katheryn manages to save Tyler from being attacked when she uses their sonar gun to distort the creatures hearing. Tyler and Katheryn swim to the ice cave, she nearly drowns but Tyler does CPR to save her. They regroup with Alex and they make it back to the exit. Jack tries to steal back their rebreather while the rest of the group fight off the creatures, but Alex is killed and eaten. When they are surrounded, Jack causes an explosion with the rebreather and causes the cave to collapse; he stays behind to fight the creatures off, presumably killed by the cave-in. Tyler, Kathryn, and Top escape the cave and are back on the surface. They return to civilization and part ways. Tyler asks Katheryn if Jack could've survived out in the open, she is silent, then says that the parasite that was changing him made her think that it could only survive underground, but is now uncertain. When she kisses him, she moves her sunglasses down below her eyes, revealing pupils similar to Jack's when he first showed signs of infection, Tyler suddenly discovers that Katheryn is infected with the parasite, and supposedly has the intent to "infect the rest of the world." He runs after her into a crowd of people, but she has disappeared.

Plot / Synopsis :
A hilarious comedy about frustrated waiters, stingy tippers and dicey food, Lions Gate Films' "Waiting" stars Ryan Reynolds, Justin Long and Anna Faris as young employees battling boredom at Shenanigan's, a generic chain restaurant.

A waiter for four years since high school, Dean (Justin Long) has never questioned his job at Shenanigan's. But when he learns that Chett, a high school classmate, now has a lucrative career in electrical engineering, he's thrown into turmoil about his dead-end life. Dean's friend Monty (Ryan Renolds) is in exactly the same boat, but he couldn't care less. More concerned with partying and getting laid by underage girls, Monty is put in charge of training Mitch (John Francis Daley), a shy new employee. Over the course of one chaotic shift, Mitch gets to know the rest of Shenanigan's quirky staff: Monty's tough-talking ex-girlfriend, Serena (Anna Faris), Shenanigan's over-zealous manager, Dan (David Koechner), and head cook Raddimus (Luis Guzman), who's obsessed with a senseless staff-wide competition known only as "The Game"...

Featuring stoned busboys, unsanitary kitchen antics, and lots of talk about sex, "Waiting" is a hysterical, behind-the-scenes look at the restaurant industry, and an affectionate ode to those lost, and thoroughly unproductive, days of youth.
